Do you know that commuters who drive the same route everyday does not use the part of their brain where conscious thinking take place? That was what Dr. Michael Schreckenberg, a traffic scientist, said. The reason is that drivers who travel in a familiar routes do not concentrate on their driving or traffic, instead, their minds are occupied with other things. That explains why a lot of car accidents occur, drivers had a long time recognizing danger. So, to all drivers out there, which includes me, should concentrate more and be alert in our driving. Moreover, we should not let other things distract us from driving such as cell phones.
